2024-2025 CWSF Executive Committee and WFLC Executive Board
The transition of the Council of Western State Foresters (CWSF) Executive Committee and Western Forestry Leadership Coalition (WFLC) Executive Board occurs following the National Association of State Foresters (NASF) Annual Meeting in September.
The CWSF Executive Committee is made up of four State Foresters filling the positions of Chair, Incoming Chair, Treasurer, and Past Chair.
The 2024-2025 CWSF Executive Committee includes:
- Chair John Erixson (NE)
- Incoming Chair Kelly Norris (WY)
- Treasurer Jamie Barnes (UT)
- Immediate Past Chair David Smith (HI)
The WFLC Executive Board includes the four members of the CWSF Executive Committee, plus two USDA Forest Service Regional Foresters, one USDA Forest Service State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Director, and one USDA Forest Service Research Station Director.
The 2024-2025 WFLC Executive Board includes:
- Above-mentioned CWSF Executive Committee members
- Co-Lead Michiko Martin (USDA Forest Service Southwestern Region)
- Incoming Co-Lead Jennifer Eberlien (USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region)
- State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Lead Ali San Gil (USDA Forest Service Southwest Region)
- Research Lead Richard Barhydt (USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station)
Danielle Okst, CWSF and WFLC Executive Director, serves as an ex officio member of both the CWSF Executive Committee and the WFLC Executive Board.
These governing bodies are responsible for providing guidance and organizational oversight throughout the year.
Outgoing members include WFLC Executive Board Co-Lead Mary Farnsworth (USDA Forest Service Intermountain Region) and CWSF Executive Committee Immediate Past Chair Tom Claeys (ND).
